The White Broad Breasted Turkey is the most common of commercial broad breasted strains of eating Turkeys on the market today. The White Broad Breasted Turkey is also one of the largest of the breeds and generally are not able to reproduce very well. They have an excellent feed to meat conversion ratio and this breed currently uses the bloodlines of Aviagen Turkeys. Most Americans at Thanksgiving time are sitting down to a table with a White Broad Breasted Turkey. The general White Turkey was admitted into the American Standard of Perfection in 1874.
